Pada minggu-minggu ini Indonesia telah menyaksikan Romo Magnis menjadi saksi di Mahkamah Konstitusi Republik Indonesia. Kesaksian yang keras untuk bagian-bagian yang seharusnya tidak boleh disentuh oleh pemerintah telah membuat respon besar di masyarakat. Terdapat banyak orang yang kagum dengan keberanian dari sosok romo yang berjuang untuk hidup menjadi terang. Hal ini tidaklah mudah dilakukan karena dapat membahayakan pribadi maupun organisasi.
Sesungguhnya dikalangan masyarakat telah menyaksikan ketidak beresan proses kampanye maupun saat pencoblosan. Respon mereka sangatlah beragam. Ada yang diam demi kenyamanan dalam menjalani aktivitas hidup, ada yang berteriak di sosial media, dan juga ada yang rela habis-habisan dalam mengorbankan dirinya supaya kedepannya kejadian yang kotor ini tidak terulang lagi.
Selain itu, ternyata terdapat orang yang tidak masuk dalam tiga golongan tersebut. Golongan ini adalah pribadi yang mengaku cinta dengan Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Jokowi menjadi seperti malaikat dan di bela tanpa melihat kejadian-kejadian yang berutal adalah bagian perusakan sistem pemerintahan.
Realita tersebut menjadi sangat menarik karena terdapat umat Protestan dan Katolik yang cukup tidak sopan dalam memberikan respon atas kata-kata Romo Magnis di Mahkamah Konstitusi sebagai saksi ahli. Sosok Romo Magnis sangatlah dihormati oleh kaum Gereja di Kristen Katolik maupun Kristen Protestan. Romo Magnis dalam kepintaran dan etikanya sangatlah mudah mendapatkan harta yang banyak dan jabatan. Namun, semua itu dimatikan dalam dirinya sebagai upaya untuk menjadi pribadi yang memancarkan karakter Kristus, yang dimana hidup bukan diri sendiri melainkan Kristus hidup dalam dirinya.
Pada kesempatan ini saya akan berupaya untuk melihat Romo Magnis apakah pejuang gelap atau terang? Jikalau gelap tentu tidak bisa masuk dalam sosok imam di Katolik. Begitu sebaliknya jika terang tentu dia memiliki tanggung jawab di semua kalangan hidup. Imam harus menjadi terang dalam Kegelapan. Imam harus menjadi garam ditengah kehambaran hidup. Tidak di lingkungan gereja saja tetapi di semua tempat.
Pejuang kegelapan
Kata gelap sejatinya tidak layak untuk dilihat pada sosok Romo. Namun karena menaruh asas keadilan bahwa semua sama di mata “nilai etika” maka saya mencoba untuk melihat dari perspektif ini. Semua manusia dapat memelakukan tindakan yang tidak benar. Hal ini disebabkan karena manusia yang diciptakan menurut gambar dan rupa Allah telah rusak oleh kejatuhan dalam dosa. Oleh sebab itu semua manusia harus berkenan untuk di uji karakternya.
Kegelapan merupakan wujud dari hidup yang barbar. Pada dunia ini terdapat tiga tingkat hidup. Pertama, agama yang merupakan cerminan hidup yang memiliki standar etika sempurna. Kedua, budaya yang merupakan bagian dari representasi hidup dalam mencari nilai-nilai dari perwujudan transenden. Ketiga, barbar adalah wujud dari hidup yang tidak beraturan. Oleh sebab itu pejuang kegelapan merupakan sosok yang memiliki etika yang sangat rendah.
Pejuang kegelapan hanya memiliki orientasi hidup pada kesenangan diri sendiri. Dia sangat sulit menghargai dan menjunjung tinggi norma-norma mulia karena keinginan dan ambisi telah membuat jatuh kepada kebahayaan hidup yang hedonis. Pada ambisi hidup, benar atau tidak akan jalan yang ditembuh merupakan bagian yang penting asal semua kepuasan diri dapat terwujud. Orang yang demikian memiliki karakter yang tidak baik dan sangat membahayakan jika memiliki pengaruh besar di masyarakat.
Pejuang terang
Terang dapat dimaknai sebagai hidup yang memberikan manfaat baik kepada setiap makhluk yang bersentuhan dengan dirinya. Seseorang yang masuk dalam pejuang terang akan tidak menghabiskan waktu dan tenaga kepada kesenangan-kesenangan yang tidak bernilai mulia tetapi selalu bertindak mengorbankan dirinya supaya dapat bermanfaat bagi manusia dan memuliakan Tuhan.
Tuhan merupakan sumber dari terang dan manusia yang hidup dalam terang tersebut akan terus menerus mengimpartasikan terang dalam kehidupan orang lain yang masih ada dalam kegelapan. Pribadi yang demikian tidak akan dapat dibeli nilai hidup dengan uang, jabatan, apalagi wanita. Ia sudah mencapai kepada hidup yang orientasinya hanya kepada kebenaran. Siapa pun yang berbuat tidak baik dan akan berdampak buruk kepada orang banyak akan menjadi lawan sampai titik darah penghabisan.
Pejuang terang seringkali kita temui di dunia agama, walaupun oleh karena kegelapan hati dari oknum-tertentu agama menjadi cemooh dari pihak yang tidak melihat agama dari tempat sesunggungnya. Pejuang terang akan terus melawan dan membenci kejahatan. Terang akan menang pada waktu yang tepat karena kegelapan akan hilang keberadaannya.
Di manakah keberadaan R.P. Prof. Dr. Franz Magnis Suseno SJ?
Pada bagian ini sungguhlah menarik karena saya memberikan sub dengan gelar yang diletakan pada nama romo Magnis. Gelar tersebut berasal dari dunia pendidikan dan Gereja. Oleh sebab itu kita dapat mengerti bahwa secara kapasitas di dunia pendidikan romo Magnis adalah orang yang pintar dan berprestasi. Demikian juga dalam keimaman-nya sudah legal dan berdampak pada jemaat.
Romo Magnis adalah pribadi yang sangat tertata dalam berbicara dan bertindak. Romo ini bisa saja kaya dan memiliki jabatan melalui kompetensi yang dimiliki tetapi hal tersebut tidak dilakukan karena orientasi hidup adalah kemulian nama Tuhan.
Sesungguhnya Romo Magnis merupakan salah satu pendukung Jokowi saat mencalonkan presiden. Namun setelah terpilih dalam periode ke dua Jokowi telah membuat jalan yang sangat fatal dan melanggar etik berat. Presiden merupakan pemimpin rakyat bukan kelompok. Pembagian bansos dan peng-ijin-an anak untuk berkompetisi melalui cara yang tidak etis merupakan bagian yang tidak pantas jika dilakukan presiden. Oleh sebab itu tindakan presiden di uji melalui etika dan inilah yang dilakukan oleh R.P. Prof. Dr. Franz Magnis Suseno SJ sebagai ahli etika.
Melalui kepribadian Romo Magnis tidak ada sedikit pun hal yang jahat pada setiap kalimat yang diucapkannya sebagai ahli etika. Dia hanya memberikan batasan-batasan etis dari sosok Presiden dalam memimpin sebuah negara. Romo Magnis adalah pribadi yang mengimpartasikan terang pada Indonesia yang sedang mulai gelap karena ambisi kekuasaan. Oleh sebab itu siapa pun yang memberikan tanggapan atas sikap Romo Magnis haruslah bijak dengan hati yang murni. Pengetahuan dan sikap hati mencari kebenaran harus menjadi dasar dalam menentukan sikap.
Kebenaran bukan soal suka atau tidak. Setiap manusia harus memiliki satu Tuhan yaitu Sang Pencipta segala sesuatu. Manusia adalah makhluk yang telah jatuh dalam dosa maka sangat bijak jika aktivitas kepemimpinannya di uji melalui etika. Ujian harus bersipat netral dan tidak boleh di intervesi oleh siapa pun.
