Memuliakan Tuhan dengan Harta

Topik ini sangatlah menarik bagi saya untuk saya bagikan kepada banyak orang. Harta merupakan bagian yang cukup penting dalam kehidupan anak kecil, muda dan bahkan orang tua. Harta telah membuat banyak orang mencapai kepada kehidupan yang indah dan harta juga telah membuat banyak orang jauh dari Tuhan. Pada kesempatan ini saya akan membahas kedua arus kehidupan tersebut.

Pada pelayanan di tempat saya melayani, Bapak/Ibu gembala sangatlah berjuang keras dalam membentuk kami menjadi pribadi yang dapat mengelola keuangan dengan baik dan bagaimana memakai uang untuk memuliakan Allah. Hal ini sungguh merupakan pekerjaan yang cukup sulit karena banyak orang memakai uang orientasinya bukan kepada kemuliaan Tuhan melainkan kemuliaan diri sendiri. Kecenderungan inilah yang diusahakan oleh Bapak/ibu gembala supaya terkikis dalam kehidupan anak-anak rohaninya.

Pada umumnya banyak orang membeli baju supaya dilihat keren dan harga dirinya tetap baik dimata orang-orang yang berada disekitarnya. Begitu juga dengan hal-hal yang lain, yang ia beli. Kenyataan ini bertolak belakang dengan firman Tuhan. Oleh sebab itu Bapak/Ibu gembala kami rela mengabiskan banyak waktu untuk membereskan hal tersebut dalam kehidupan anak-anak rohani yang dipercayakan Tuhan kepadanya.

Pandangan Bapak/Ibu gembala tentang harta adalah titipan Tuhan untuk melakukan pekerjaan Tuhan telah terimpartasi pada anak-anak rohaninya, walaupun masih ada yang masih belum menerapkan dan ada juga masih perlu dimatangkan lagi. Pada bagian ini anak-anak rohani dibawa kepada kehidupan yang terpusat kepada kemuliaan Tuhan. Pada saat membeli baju, bukan lagi dengan tujuan supaya dipandangan orang sangat luarbiasa, tetapi supaya tidak ada halangan dalam melayani Tuhan. Melalui baju yang baik dimata orang, kita dapat diterima dilingkungan banyak orang, sehingga injil dapat diberitakan pada waktu itu.

Pemberitaan injil menjadi dasar dari setiap apa yang kita lakukan. Melalui harta, kita dapat kesana-kemari untuk memberitakan injil. Melalui pengelolaan keuangan yang baik, kita dapat menggunakannya dengan tempat sesuai maksud Tuhan saat memberikan berkat-Nya kepada kita.

Topik ini menjadi sangat sulit diterima dan diterapkan oleh orang-orang duniawi. Tetapi, bagi orang yang sangat cinta kepada Tuhan sangatlah bermanfaat dalam perjalanan kehidupannnya. Melalui harta, pelayanan kesa-kesini dapat berjalan. Melalui harta, dapat memperlengkapi penampilan yang baik supaya kedatangan kita tidak ditolak orang. Namun, orang yang gila harta hanyalah mementingkan dirinya sendiri. Semua yang dibeli dan dimiliki hanya untuk kepentingan diri sendiri. Sangat sulit mengusahakan supaya ada dibenaknya tentang menggunakan harta untuk pekerjaan Tuhan.

Kiranya melalui tulisan ini banyak orang berbalik dan berusaha untuk dapat mengelola keuangan dengan baik dan menggunakan uang tersebut untuk pekerjaan Tuhan. Kiranya para hamba Tuhan dan jemaat dapat menemukan gembala yang baik yang takut akan Tuhan supaya dapat mengajarkan cara mengelolah harta dan cara menggunakan harta dengan tujuan mempermuliakan Tuhan. Saya bersyukur, karena Tuhan telah memberikan Bapak/Ibu gembala yang luarbiasa cinta Tuhan dan cinta kepada kami. Kiranya yang saya alami, juga dialami oleh orang-orang yang membaca tulisan ini.
